We have the opportunity to guide jiu-jitsu culture–we, as humble practitioners. Although a lot of people know what jiu-jitsu is, there are far more people that have no idea. Jiu-jitsu needs exposure. Jiu-Jitsu needs a super hero–yes, a super hero, and we’re going to create some. Use this outline to create your jiu-jitsu/MMA super hero and post your ideas under comments.

Super Hero Name: Jiu-Jitsu Jones
Real Name: Roosevelt Franklin
Martial Art: Master of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Occupation: Buddhist monk (the only black monk in Oakland)
Enemies: Morisan, Brock Laser, Meat-Head
Aliases: The Black Monk, Brother Jits
Base of Operations: Buddhist temple in Oakland, CA
Powers/Abilities: super-human flexibility, can dislocate his joints, carotid arteries inside his bones cannot be choked. Heightened senses.
History: Franklin Roosevelt was abandoned at a Buddhist temple in Oakland, CA. He was raised by Brazilian monks who trained him from his infancy in the art of Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
The monks marveled at Franklin’s flexibility and the difficulty that they had in applying chokes—he couldn’t be choked. Franklin’s athletic abilities as well as his sense of attacks made him a star pupil at the temple. He also excelled in his other studies.
Franklin developed an aversion to injustice and devoted his life to following the ways of Buddha and jiu-jitsu, and at night roams the streets vanquishing the all evil-doers and enemies of mankind.
