Jiu-jitsu is art. It’s the kind of art that goes unappreciated by most, much like tattoos or graffiti. I get very excited when I watch someone pull off an amazing move in a tournament or a MMA fight. I usually stand up and shout, “Did you see that? Ah, shit that was bad. Whoa! that was beautiful…holy shit.” My wife looks at me with one raised eyebrow, she doesn’t see the beauty of it; she doesn’t appreciate the art. To her it’s to guys trying hurt each other, but to me it’s the Sistine Chapel, it’s Michael Angelo’s David—it’s art
